Best gaming soundtrack of all time?

#1

This is going to start a war but: Celeste. Lena Raine absolutely killed it.

Close runners up:

  • Hollow Knight (Christopher Larkin is a genius)
  • Persona 5 (that jazz fusion!)
  • Hades (Darren Korb can do no wrong)
  • Minecraft (C418 shaped an entire generation)

Fight me in the replies.

Respect for Celeste but Dark Souls 3's boss themes are on another level. Slave Knight Gael's theme alone justifies the entire OST.

Donkey Kong Country 2. David Wise made SNES hardware do things it shouldn't have been able to do. Stickerbrush Symphony is still peak.

Divinity: Original Sin 2. That main theme is burned into my brain in the best way.

Outer Wilds. The banjo + the existential dread of the universe ending. Perfect combo.

How has nobody said Nier: Automata yet? Weight of the World made me ugly cry. Multiple times.

Minecraft C418 Volume Alpha. Wet Hands playing at 3am while you're alone in your house... that's a core memory for a generation.

World of warcraft has got to be in this. The loops in that game are incredible.
