Candy Crush Level Strategy Guide
The patterns and techniques that work on every hard level.

Instant Answer
The #1 Tip
Work from the bottom of the board. Matches at the bottom cause cascades that create free special candies. Top-of-board matches rarely chain.
01 Work From the Bottom
Always prioritise matches at the bottom of the board. These cause pieces above to fall and create cascading matches — free moves you didn’t plan. Bottom matches generate 2-3x more value on average.
02 Special Candy Priority
Making special candies is always better than clearing regular matches. Look for L-shapes and T-shapes (wrapped), 4-in-a-row (striped), and 5-in-a-row (color bombs) before making basic 3-matches.
03 Level Type Strategies
- Jelly levels: Focus on corners and edges first — those are hardest to clear
- Ingredient levels: Create openings in the column the ingredient needs to fall through
- Score levels: Chain special candies for massive multipliers
- Order levels: Focus exclusively on the required pieces
04 Move Efficiency
Don’t rush. Look at the entire board for 5 seconds before each move. The best players average 2-3 seconds per move but waste zero moves on low-value matches.
